Description:	This lagoon is partly filled-in, on Pukapuka Atoll, Tuamotus Islands.
Field Notes:	This atoll is notable in that it was one of only two Pacific islands that the famous explorer, Ferdinand Magellan, located on his epic journey from Cape Horn (bottom of South America) to Guam! Pukapuka (Tuamotus) and Flint Isle (Line Islands). These obscure historical facts were discovered after much research by the Pacific's premier historian for decades, Australian Harry Maude.
