PBIF hosts a number of mailing lists to facilitate communication between biodiversity professionals interested in Pacific biodiversity conservation and management. Some lists are open to anyone who cares to join and contribute productively. Other lists, marked private, are limited to members of an established working group.

• PBIF-L (Public) General discussion list for the Pacific Biodiversity Information Forum. Subscribe to this list.
  PBIF is a consortium of biodiversity and information organizations working together to make Pacific biodiversity information available in order to enable effective management and conservation efforts in the Pacific.
• PBIF-IOC-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Biodiversity Information Forum's organizing committee. Participation in this list is limited to members of the PBIF organizing committee.
  The organizing committee is the governing body of PBIF and is responsible for guiding the organization towards projects that will help acheive the stated goal of making Pacific biodiversity information available in order to enable effective management and conservation efforts in the Pacific.

  The Pacific Island Roundtable for Nature Conservation is a collaboration between individuals working toward conservation and sustainable resource use on Pacific islands.
• BirdCon-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Island Round Table's bird conservation working group. Participation in this list is limited to members of the working group.
  This working group facilitates communication and planning among regional specialists in bird conservation.
• CBM-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Island Round Table's Country Based Management working group. Participation in this list is limited to members of the working group.
  This working group facilitates communication and planning among regional specialists working in-country.
• CSCB-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Island Round Table's Country Support and Capacity Building working group. Participation in this list is limited to members of the working group.
  This working group facilitates communication and planning among regional specialists working to building conservation capacity within Pacific countries.
• CTI-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Island Round Table'Coral Triangle Initiative working group. Participation in this list is limited to members of the working group.
  This working group facilitates communication and planning among regional specialists working to achieve the mandates of the Coral Triangle Initiative.
• DATA-L (Private) Mailing list for the Pacific Island Round Table's data and information working group. Participation in this list is limited to members of the working group.
  The data and information working group is developing information sharing opportunities and standards to facilitate information exchange between groups.

  This working group facilitates communication and planning for establishing economical and sustainable conservation practices.

  The primary aim of the Threatened Species is to coordinate and stimulate the efforts of members and member organisations to promote the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems of ecological and cultural importance in the Pacific Islands.
